  • Station-wise daily rainfall data for all districts of Rajasthan from 1973-2008 | India Water Portal
The Water Resources Department of the Government of Rajasthan, has made available, station-level, daily rainfall data from 1973-2008, for all districts of Rajasthan, on its website.

In order to make this data of better value to end-users, the India Water Portal has extracted and made this data available in a district-wise spreadsheet format, which you can download with a single click.

While extracting the data, we observed some discrepancies in the master data on the website. These notes can be viewed here.

  • Met Data 2004-2008 | India Water Portal
in response to an RTI petition by the South Asia Network on Dams, Rivers and People (www.sandrp.in), the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has made rainfall data for the past few years available at a monthly level, for each district of the country on their website: IMD .

India Water Portal has imported all the data from 2004-2008 into a spreadsheet that you can download and save for future use.

Please note that IMD has updated their website with partial 2009 data too; this data will be incorporated into the IWP spreadsheet on this page at a later date.

  • Meteorological Datasets | India Water Portal
Meteorological data is essential for water resource planning and research. In India, this data is difficult to obtain for the average citizen. In this application, entire datasets for various meteorological indicators from 1901 to 2002, for any part of India, is made available for users, in a simple format.
